What this site is — and what it is not
Independent comparison
Playhouse Bulletin is a comparison site. We review UK-licensed online casinos, score them against published criteria, and present those findings here. We are not a casino, not a gambling operator, and we have no commercial ownership ties to any of the brands listed on this site.
We do not take bets. We do not process deposits. We do not manage player accounts, bonuses, or withdrawal requests. If you have a complaint about a casino, that goes to the operator directly — and ultimately to the UKGC or an Alternative Dispute Resolution service if the operator fails to resolve it.
Affiliate funding
The site is funded through affiliate commissions. When a reader visits an operator site via our links and registers, we typically receive a payment from that operator. The links contain tracking parameters that attribute the referral to us.
This is how most comparison sites in this sector work, and we are not going to pretend it is neutral — commercial relationships exist. What we can say is that our scoring criteria were set independently of commission rates, that we do not accept payment for placement or score adjustments, and that the responsible gambling criteria carry the highest weighting in our methodology. An operator that scores poorly on RG tools will rank poorly regardless of what they pay per referral.

Editorial approach
Reviews prioritise licensing status first — no UKGC licence, no listing — followed by responsible gambling tooling, withdrawal speed and reliability, terms clarity, and game range. Heritage and ownership structure matter because they tell you something about how an operator has behaved under regulatory scrutiny over time.
Scores are not fixed permanently. If an operator gets a formal warning from the UKGC, changes its withdrawal policy for the worse, or obscures its T&Cs, the listing is reviewed. The priority is to be accurate rather than promotional.
